Problem Note 41305: "The member 'xyz' cannot be deleted because it is referenced by one or more objects. Please remove all references to this member before deleting it."

DetailsAboutRate It

If you are deleting dimension members from SAS® Financial Management Studio, you might encounter the message

The member 'xyz' cannot be deleted because it is referenced by one or more objects. Please remove all references to this member before deleting it.
This message indicates that there there are still references that need to be removed before your dimension member can be deleted. All such references must be removed to allow the dimension member to be deleted.

For example, you might have a formula that calculates total revenue as (Price * Quantity). As long as this total revenue formula exists, you will not be able to delete the account dimension members Price or Quantity.

However, in release 4.4 of SAS Financial Management, you might receive this error message even if all references to the member have been removed.

This defect has been marked as fixed in SAS Financial Management release 5.1.
